"Every day above ground is a good day"

  Assalamou alaykoum wbt,

This number seems so big for me (Ha Ha!). I  just want to add that numbers does not change anything however we are defined by our actions; by who we really are.

From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank everyone for your flawless words, your kind wishes and your so precious pressies. I am so blessed to have every single person of you in my life.

Though I am feeling a bit tired,  I had an absolutely great birthday weekend! :-)

Doodling/ Zentangle/ Madala Arts Q&A

According to Wikipedia, a   doodle  is a  drawing  made while a person's attention is otherwise occupied. Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be  abstract  shapes. ( This is an example of one of my doodles. March 2015) Q&A: X : Where do you get your inspiration to draw? You're incredible! What I mean by inspiration, I suppose, is how do you come up with the designs for these? Is there some creative process that you go through? I don’t really know! I always start off the basic shape in my head and work from there really but I usually make it up as I go along. Usually if I’m unsure if it’s going to look okay I just do it! Y : How do you draw your Mandalas? You're just perfect! Thank you! To grid your mandalas up before drawing,  I draw all the different circles using a compass in pencil then split it up into sections using a protractor and go ove...

But, before you go, I have to say: please do read this wonderful and somewhat tragic but also funny story.  Synopsis:  Rosie and Alex are destined for one another, and everyone seems to know it but them. Best friends since childhood, their relationship gets closer by the day, until Alex gets the news that his family is leaving Dublin and moving to Boston. Devastated, the two make plans for Rosie to apply to colleges in the U.S.  She gets into Boston University, Alex gets into Harvard, and everything is falling into place, when on the eve of her departure, Rosie gets news that will change their lives forever: She’s pregnant by a boy she’d gone out with while on the rebound from Alex.  ...

My Hijab Story

Hello blog friends!    I just love it when people tell me that I was forced to wear Hijab. Thank you for telling me that. Oh!wait… I wasn’t forced, I chose.    People often think that Hijab is hiding a girl’s true beauty, and her most beautiful form is a secret treasure only to be witnessed by those privileged enough to see her in that state. It’s actually the opposite– you’re already seeing the polished diamond. As she ventures into the world, wearing her Hijab, she is a reflection of the strength and beauty of God. She is not hidden, but a manifest sign of His splendor for the whole world to see. And what can be more beautiful than His signs?    Both my parents come from very conservative families because their lineage belongs to the lineage of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his grandsons Hasan and Husain. Which literally makes my family a conservative and a religious one as well.     My eldest sister and I used to...
