The Year I Met You has many quiet moments, that will sneak up on you and capture both your thoughts and heart and ultimately become the big moments of the book. 

Jasmine, a very successful business woman and Matt a famous radio presenter. Both find themselves on unexpected gardening leave. The neighbours are drawn into each other's lives as they deal with empty days and nights leading to self-discovery of themselves and each other.

Jasmine know two things: one, she loves her vulnerable sister unconditionally, and will fight to the death to protect her from anyone who upsets her. Two, she's only ever been good at one thing – her job helping business start-ups.

Loveable characters, a believable storyline and the neighbourhood friendships we would all aspire to makes this book a really good read.

 The ending was unpredictable nothing like i thought it would be. I admired the way she writes and her concern with details. The novel is so light and kinda gives you hope that sometimes the thing you hate the most can change your life around.
